Privacy

This website collects nothing. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics or tracking and loads nothing from other sites. Downloads come from GitHub.

In the app

• Files you open in The Quire stay on your computer. Reading your own files works offline.
• Cloud rooms: HTTPS to the server. The server stores the room’s desk and can see its data. Desk data is not end-to-end encrypted.
• Direct lessons: data travels between the two devices in an encrypted WebRTC channel, with no server in between.
• Shared documents are sent as page snapshots. The original file never leaves its owner.
• Calls are always encrypted by WebRTC, also through a relay.
