Run a lesson
The Quire has two ways to hold a lesson. Both start from Classroom, in the app or in the browser.
Cloud: a class on the server
Press Classroom → Cloud. The cloud classroom opens in your browser.
Sign in with Telegram, Google, GitHub, an email code or a passkey. New accounts on the public server currently need a tester code.
Create a room and send its key to your students. They join with the key, without an account.
The room stays on the server when you close your laptop.
Direct (P2P): one student, no server
Press Classroom → Direct (P2P) → Start, and send the invitation code (or the link) to your student.
Your student sends back a reply code. Paste it and press Connect.
Read the check phrase aloud. If it differs on the two screens, stop and start again.
Keep your tab open: the lesson runs in it. Closing it ends the lesson; your desk is kept as a recovery copy.
Networks
Direct lessons use no public STUN or TURN servers. They work on the same Wi-Fi and when one side has a public address. Home-to-home connections across the internet often fail; use Cloud, or add a STUN/TURN server you run yourself. P2P
Your own server
You can run the room server on your own computer, with accounts and TURN. The hosting guide in the repository explains how. Hosting guide
